For us, good food is a simple basic recipe with simple ingredients. It needs passion and tradition, first-class ingredients and enthusiasm, creativity and skill. And most of all, the dishes need to be prepared with love and attention.

We like to enjoy every aspect and want things to look good too. Most of all, we like things that are beautiful but unpretentious, traditions that maintain a relaxed feel and, of course, everything that is authentic.
We place great importance on offering a generous breakfast buffet with a fine selection of regional products, which we source from our suppliers in the valley. Dairy products such as cheese, butter and yoghurt come from the Splügen village dairy. We source matured cheese from the organic cheese dairy in Nufenen. The bread is supplied by Winker Bakery, which is located right on the village square, opposite the hotel. We source our meat and meat products exclusively from our village butcher, Orlando Strub. The organic eggs come fresh from Marlies Mengelt’s farm in Splügen and from Tamara and Urs Heinz’s organic yak farm in Sufers. And the delicious jams are produced by Philipp Grendelmeier, a passionate winemaker from Zizers, who also presses our two Bodenhaus house wines, the 'Numero 1' and 'Numero 2', amongst other things

Hidden beneath the ground floor, our 300-year-old arched cellar is a place of history, depth, and quiet character. It holds a carefully curated selection of wines from the Bündner Herrschaft in the Swiss Grisons, complemented by celebrated classics from France and Italy.
